Sadie Amara Calvano is an actress from America who gained attention by playing Violet Plunkett in the CBS sitcom 'Mom'. An California resident, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano decided to focus on a career in acting. Her screen debut was in an episode from 2010 on the CBS show 'NCIS. Her first big-screen appearance came one year later in the biographical crime-drama film 'J Edgar'. Over the years she's established herself to be one of the best young actors in the current industry. In 2011 she won a Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Actress on a TV Series as in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. The actress was also nominated 2013 for an Young Artist Award, this time due to her performance as a guest star on Disney XD's comedic series "Kickin' it". Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons. She she also appeared in several episodes during the fourth. In 2015, her role on 'Mom" earned her the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
